MMR awareness

“The number of measles cases have increased in Harrow, it spreads very easily. It is distressing for children and may cause serious harm to those that will not have had the vaccine like under 1 year olds and immunosuppressed people such as cancer patients. You should ask for an urgent GP appointment or get help from NHS 111 if you think you or your child may have measles. Don’t go to the GP or any other healthcare setting without calling first. We encourage you to vaccinate children with the MMR if they haven’t already had 2 doses. You can speak to your GP if you have any concerns or go to NHS website for accurate up to date information on MMR vaccines www.nhs.uk/conditions/measles/”
